Weight Loss and Staying Fit the Natural Way

EAT SMALLER PORTIONS

This may mean that instead of eating just three meals a day, perhaps you could adjust by eating more frequently throughout the day. Doing so is a much healthier option than the large meals you are probably currently consuming. Larger meals will make you feel tired and sluggish. Your body will burn the calories more efficiently if you are eating smaller portions even if it results in more meals a day than you typically allow yourself. This doesn’t mean sitting down with a bag of potato chips and a soft drink! Oh, no!!

Try slowly eating a handful of almonds and see if that won’t help curb your appetite and/or drink an 8-oz glass of water as soon as you start feeling hungry so you fill yourself up a little bit before having something to eat.

THE WATER FORMULA

How much water should you drink? That’s the age old question, but there is a simple formula for figuring this out:

  • Take your current weight and divide it by 2.
  • That number is the amount of ounces of water you should drink daily.

For instance, if you weigh 150 pounds, divide that by 2 = 75 ounces of water/day. Remember to adjust as you begin losing weight!
